What a Great Weekend
STARworks Ceramics is pleased the Open House with Shimpo USA and Cone Art Kiln went very well and there were many people came to see the event. Thank you all so much.
It was a lot of work for all staff of STARworks Ceramics (especially clean up the huge space), and we are happy the event was a great success. We really appreciate Yosuke Koizumi's & Karen Wise's wonderful demonstrations and lectures, and Ian Chung's useful&helpful lecture of electric kiln.
Here is the photo gallery of the great weekend we had.

What a great night
What a great night! We had 13 young artists and their families&friends for the exhibition, and people were impressed by students' beautiful works. Each students had a short "Gallery talk" time in front of people, and it should make them look more "artists". I proud of all students!
Gracie talked about her violin |
She worked on this really hard |
Erin describes concepts of her works |
Nice details! Erin |
Chase already asked his parents to buy a potters wheel |
Jessica really liked clay house project |
Lily couldn't make the exhibition |
Garner's next challenge would be a glass blowing! |
Caley is from potters family and her works had really good details |
Macenzi was always serious about all projects |
Charlotte talked about the cup for her soccer team |
I want to thank all students and families who joined this program. It was really successful and you are wonderful people. Also thank to Montgomery Fund for the financial support for this program. Thank to Jeff Dean from Dean and Martin Pottery for your generous time and effort for students, team STARworks for all your support, Santiago Ramirez for making clay and assisting class, Marla Coulthard for making this program possible from the scratch. Lastly, a big thanks to Takuro Shibata, the Director of STARworks Ceramics who did all unthankful tasks (dump trashes, clean up&set up studio, make glazes&under glazes, watch firing, take photos, paper works, send advertising, and even take&pick up our children to the daycare!). I couldn't have done anything without all your help and support.
Lastly, STARworks want to continue those educational programs as much as possible for area schools and students, and we need your support to make this more possible.
